SLOT TELEPHONES.
MIXISTEIi DKPi'TATiUNLSEU. By Telegraph— Prc, ss Association. Christchurch, Last Night The Hon. K. Hoaton Rhodes received several deputations to-day. members of which asked for the installation of slot telephones in different localities. Replying to the deputation from AVoulston. the Minister said that there had been : , great pressure of work throughout the country, and the Department's hands had been fully employed on telephonic construction. This pressure had eased off a little, and he would be able to put more hands on the work connected with slot telephones. He hoped in a month or two to instal a few more slot telephones in Christchurch. The Minister left for Wellington this evening.
