A FRIENDLY SUIT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invereargill, Last Night. Messrs. Ilall, Stout, and Lillicrap, who served the Commissioner of Crown Lands Invereargill, with a summons in the Gavin Brighton's lease case, state that the plaintiff's intention is that the case shall be in the nature of a friendly suit, in order to decide the question of law at issue. The case is cited to be heard at the Supreme Court at Invereargill, the sittings commencing next week, subject to the Crown being agreeable to this course.
