A MOTORI\n FATALITY.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Whangarci, Saturday. A motor fatality occurred at Tangiteroria this morning. A party consisting of ,T. Uoey, owner and driver of a taxi. .1. Richardson, N. Weaver Massev. of Whangarei. and Knr.wles. representing Levin and Co.. of Wellington, left Tangiteroria at S o'clock. Richardson, interviewed over the 'phone, states that they were travelling on a good road at a medium pace when a back tyre blew out. causing the car to slewround and turn completely over sideways. When he got up'after being thrown clear he pulled someone from under (lie ear, which was standing on its wheels.' lloev was 'still sitting in the / driver's seat do;>d, but the rest of the • party were practically unhurt, though hndly aliafcon. Richards--,-!!, when speakon the 'phone nours after the accident, says-. "It was so sudden that , it was like going into a tunnel and ■ emerging on fresh scenes," He'is apparently suffering severely from shock, and is unnerved,' so that much of the conversation was unintelligible. Deceased leaves a wife and" young family. HON F, MITCHELSON INJURED.
Auckland. Last Night. A serious accident betel the Hon. E. A sblcy flhcmfwypmhemfwvp cmfwyp Mitchclson on Saturday. Mr. Mitchelsou was waiting for a' tram after the Takapuna show, when an approachiug tram frightened the horse, which bolted, throwing Mr. Mitclielson against the engine. Mr. .Mitchelsor.'s left leg was broken, and a small bone in the left, wrist whs fractured. He also received numerous severe cuts, but no internal injuries. A boy and a woman were also knocked down by the horse, but were not seriously injured.
