PROTEST AGAINST IMMIGRATION.

Two hundred unemployed formed a deputation to Mr. McGoweu. alleging that 4000 were out of work in Sydney.

Mr. MyGowen is obtaining a report. One deputationist to the Labor Council declared that there were >SOOO unemployed. Another only vouched for 30fl. A member of the council caused laughter by remarking that the leader of the deputation had been associated with the unemployed movement for manv years. The council is enquiring into the statements.
