BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
| Per Tress Association. | Wellington, Tuesday. A demonstration of the supporters of the Bible-in-State Schools League was held in the Town Hall to-night. There was a crowded audience, over which Mr. J. G. W. Aitkcn presided. Addresses were delivered by the Rev. H. Youngman. D.D. (president of the Methodist Church of Australasia and vice-president and surviving founder of the Queensland Bible-in-State Schools League). Canon Oarland (organising secretary of the Bible-in-State Schools League), Commissioner Richards (Salvation Army), Messrs Gilbert Carson (Baptist Church. Wanganui) and W. D. Little (Church of Christ). The meeting was an enthusiastic one. A collection in aid of the League funds realised £4.").
