COMMERCIAL TRAVELLER'S SUICIDE (Per Press Association). Cliristclnireh, Wednesday. Robert Ueorge Scott, a. commercial traveller, aged 32, residing at Sydenham, shot himself with a gun yesterday. Ho had been unwell for' some weeks. At the inquest a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned. FOUND DROWNED. Palmerston North, Wednesday. Gordon McEwen, clerk of works, employed in building at Foxton, was found drowned this morning in the Manawatu river. The deceased was single, and had no relations in the Dominion. His age was about fifty. KILLED BY A FALL OF EARTH. Invercargill, Last Night. Stephen Hogan was killed by a fall of earth m a gravel pit at Drummond on Monday. A side slip occurred -burying Hogan, who was dead when extricated". FOUND BEAD. Invercargill, Last :S T ight. Albert Edward Owens, a laborer. South Invercargill. was found dead on ' the beach at Oraki, near Riverton. to- . day.
