PERSONAL.
Mr. John Leydon, of Stratford, was a passenger for Auckland by the Barawa last night. , Mr. Harry Day, one time chief officer of the ill-fated Gairloeh, is on a short visit to New Plymouth. At Elthain on Monday evening Mr. J. Stagpoole, late of New Plymouth, who is leaving for Australia, was presented with a purse of sovereigns and a framed photograph.
