Five of the disgruntled six are playing in (hi- match, viz.. Tnuupcr and Carter for Xew South Wales and Armstrong, lhmsford and Hill for the Ucst, Colter is out probably owing to an iniureil knee. Massio is included as a fa-! bowler. ('if ibe team Hint recently toured England. Macartney. Kelleway, liardslev. ITazlitt (X.S.W.). Mayne. Whittv' and Matthews (the Nest) are included. Campbell (South Australia) replaces Carkeek as wicketkeepcr. whilst Baring and liyder. who respectively head the batting and bowling average? for Victoria in the Sheffield matches, also find a place. These players are very highly spoken of Ivy critics. Victor Trumper"s big innings of 201 not out for Xew South Wales against ■ South Australia completes a unique i chain of innings exceeding 200 runs in inter-State pricket. Tie is the only i player who has scored over 200 in an 1 innings for one Slate against every other ' Stale" he has i.laved against and Xew Zealand, these scores heing: 202 not out '* v.
