ENTERTAINMENTS.
EMPrRE PICTURE PALACE. There was again a large attendance at the Empire last evening, when the mid-week programme was shown for the second occasion. At the usual matinee to-morrow there will be a complete change of programme, including a great and magnificent masterpiece of England's patron saint, entitled "St. George and the Dragon." Another picture of outstanding merit on to-morrow's change is a product of Cromwell davs, "Curfew Shall Not Ring To-night."' "J>l( K TCRPIX AT THE THEATRE ROYAL. Pick Turpin rehearsed his exploits in the Theatre Royal last night, per the medium of the picture screen! and great was the applause. The picture! which is the third of the Pick Turpin series, is a fine rollicking film with many a dash of lively color. The film is not without good company, and of the several oilier pictures screened special mention must be made of a thrilling Kj,] om drama. 'The Hrit of the Girl Telegraphist." and a stirring AYesh>rn subject 'Broncho Billy's Last Tlold-Up." On' the scenic and industrial slides there is much of interest, while the comics arc strong. "
