Mrs. Colvile gave a vcrv jollv little evening in honor of Miss Nolan' (Auckland) last Mondav evening, ami amon"st those present were: Misses B. Mathews, Nolan. Webster. Glasgow. Renaud, Bedford. Roy. Blundell, Bewler, and Messrs Armstrong. Bewley, Renaud, Webster, Mathews. Millar. Deighton and Arden.

Last Wednesday Mrs. Paid gave a picture party for the Misses Casey wlio have been visiting New Plymouth, and amongst those nresent were Misses Casey (2), Bedford (2). Mackav (2), ''Cunningham and Mrs. Percy Webster. * PERSONAL. Mrs. Allen, of Dunedin, arrives in New Plymouth next Wednesday, when she will be the guest of her mother, Mrs Newton King. Miss Olive Mackay, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs. Saunder, at Otautau, Otago, has returned to New Plymouth. Mrs. Long has returned to Auckland accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Halse. Mrs. Benbow, who has been spending the holidays, with her children, at Ngaere, has returned to New Plymouth. Mrs. W Skinner, who has been visiting her relatives in New Plymouth, left this morning for Blenheim. Miss Nolan, who is the guest of Mrs Mathews, Fitzroy, intends visiting Mrs' Nolan, of Hawera, before returning to Auckland. °

Miss Bedford leaves by the Rarawa tonight on a visit to Rotonia. Dr. and Mrs. Bertram, who have been oil a visit to New Plymouth, return by the Rarawa to-night for Rotonia accompanied by Miss P. Evans

Misses Casey (2). who have been on a short visit to New Plymouth, returned oil Thursday to Auckland.
