THE TREVANION CASE.

EVIDENCE OF ROE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 30. At the Trevanion inquest, Roe said the family, including Mrs. Trevanion, approached him in 1907 to use his influence to keep Trevanion from drugs. Trevanion was ill in 1911, and summoned witness from Paris. He suggested paying witness £2OO yearly as a travelling companion. Trevanion later transferred to witness £IO,OOO, as he disliked people to think Roe was in a different position from himself. Witness consented on Trevanion's solicitors arranging it. He denied any impropriety. Ho was treated like a young brother, and slept with Trevanion because the latter was nervous. Witness detailed the circumstances prior to Trevanion's death.
