The wool sales this week increased in firmness, and the highest prices for the season were brought, greasj touching 14% d and scoured 23% d, There will be no sales next week. London, January 30. The wool sold at Home was* 78,000 (bales, on the Continent 43,000 bales, in the United States 0000 bales. A strong buying movement developed on the last few days, owing to shortage from South America and Australia, All merinos closed 5 per cent, above opening rates, medium crossbreds were par to uper cent, above December rates, coarse was at par. compared with December. Lambs were scarce and at 7% above last rates. America's purchases were' entirely crossbreds. The Xgakanui clip brought 13d to 12% d.
