The following occurs in the annual report of the Polynesian Society:-—"Our library qontinues' to increase, "so much so that measures will shortly have to be taken to provide further accommodation. To this the council has given its attention with a view to endeavourinj to procure a site and the means of erecting thereon a suitable building. But un to this date the negotiations are not sufficiently advanced to make any definite statement. It is somewhat disappointing that members do not make a greater use of the librarv. notwithstanding that Mr. W. W. Smith is in attendance one evening in each week to issue books."
