BOOM IN PICTURE SHARES. Sydney, January 25. There has been extraordinary activity jOn the Stock Exchange during the past few days in the scrip of the Greater J. D. Williams' Amusements Company, 100.000 shares having changed 'hands. The company's capital subscribed amounts to £IBO,OOO. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a former official of this company on a charge of forging an Order for the sale of 40,000 shares.
MINERS GROWING IMPATIENT. Sydney. January 25. The northern miners arc growing impatient of the delay in effecting a settlement at the Burwood mine, whore iho wheelers struck. The mine-owners have intimated that they will reply in due course to the latest communication from the miners.
