A YOUNG CRIMINAL.
THE ENTERPRISING BURGLAR. " By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. John Bandley, 15 years of age, was arrested last night by a constable on the premises of the Albert Brewery. admitted that he had climbed over the roofs of the buildings adjoining the brewery and descended to the yard by a water pipe, and that he had in his possession goods stolen from Smith and Caughey, drapers. He also admitted having committed a burglary in the City Chambers on Monday night, and attempted to enter John Court's premises. He stated that he was hidden in Smith and Caughey's when the police searched tlie premises, 'and he watched their movements. He is a native of Melbourne, and was some time on the training ship Sobraon at Sydney, from which he deserted. He arrived in Auckland as a stowaway on the steamer Victoria.
