WOMEN'S FRANCHISE. SOME DIFFICULT PROBLEMS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London. January 22. Many Liberals fear that women's franchise will create a permanent split, in the party. 11l any case the amendment endangers the pa-sage of the Bill, forcing the Liberals to light at the next election without the abolition of the plurality vote. The position is somewhat chaotic. If Mr. Dickinson's amendment is defeated, many Liberals and Laborites will oppose the lion. Alfred Lyttelton's motion as tending to endow Unionists with a new form of plurality.
THE EDUCATION BILL. Received 23. 5.5 p.m. London, January 22. A committee of the Cabinet, with Lord Haldane as chairman, is considering the Education Bill.
THE TRADE UNION BILL. Received 23, 11.5 p.m. London, January 23. The House of Lords debated the Tiades Disputes Bill. Several Conservatives and three Liberals appealed for a revival of trade union liability. Lord Haldane offered no hope of amendin" the Bill.
THE DISESTABLISHMENT BILL. London, January 23. Received 23, 11.5 p.m. The House of Commons has concluded the committee stage of the Disestablishment Bill, except the schedules.
