j A BURNING FATALITY. j By Telegraph—Press Association, j Wairoa, Wednesday, j News was received of a sad fatality |at Morere last evening. Nathaniel McIntyre, sheep-fanner, was out firing bush, and appears to have been suffocated by the smoke, and I'm 1 overtaking him lie was burnt to dearii. Details are meagre. Deceased was a most progressive membei of the County Council, and was highly respected in the entire county. He leaves a wife and one adopted child.

BOY DROWNED. Auckland, Wednesday. A boy named Wilfred Thomas Vincent, aged 14 years, was drowned in the Waikato river at Mercer. FOUND DEAD.

Auckland, Wednesday. Charles Kennedy, aged TO, has been found dead at rahaka, near Ptawene. A FATAL FALL. Christchnrch, Last Night. Whilst out riding, Florence Welsh, aged 20, was thrown by her horse and received injuries from which she died two hour* afterwards.

ACCIDENTAL DEATH. A fatality occurred, at Oniata yester day morning, resulting in the death of Mrs. Mary Ann McMillan, in her sixty-seventh year. The deceased lady resided in this district for a number of years, and on the death of her husband, Mr. Robert McMillan, some months ago, removed to Omata, taking up residence with her daughter, Mrs Govett. Early in the morning Mrs. McMillan rose and went outside. No importance was attached to the incident, but, as she failed to return, Mrs. Bovett went out in search and discovered her mother with her head in a bucket of water. Medical assistance was at once summoned, but life was pronounced extinct. An inquest, was held by the district coroner (Mr. A. Crooke. P.M.) at Omata yesterday morning. The verdict was accidental death, there being no evidence to show how it was caused.
