THE NATIVE PROBLEM. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Capetown, January 21. General Hertzog, speaking at Pretoria. said that segregation of the natives was inevitable. He proposed that natives be prohibited from acquiring the land of Europeans, and vice versa. Colored people should be placed on a different footing from the natives, but they must do justice to the natives while not hampering the white population.
