THE MARCONI CONTRACT. By Cabli —Press Association--Copyright. London. January 20. The Marconi Company has written to the Government requesting release from its contract, owing to the expense through the indefinite delay preceding ratification, and the serious detriment owing to erroneous statements, professedly based on evidence before the committer, being reproduced in newspapers without the company having an opportunity of refutation. * The company offers, when investigations have 1 n concluded, to construct stations on such terniM as may be agreed upon.
AN INVENTOR HONORED. Copenhagen, danuary 20. The King presented Poulscn with the Pedersen gold medal for merit in recognition of his work in connection with wireless telegraphy.
