London, January 20. Portions of a boat and the bodies of two of the crew of the Sola, wrecked on the way to Buenos Aires, have been recovered at the Lizards. WIRELESS LIXKIXG-UP. Melbourne, January 20. France proposes to establish a wireless station at Noumea, linking China. South Africa and South America, and also with a view to uniting all the French possessions in the world. The station at Tahiti will connect with Martinique: with the Marquesas as an intermediary.
A DROWNING FATALITY. Sydney, January 20. Three brothers named Cunningham, eighteen to twenty-seven years old, were bathing at Goombargana. James got into difficulties and Alfred tried to assist him. Both were drowned. Charles, in an effort to help, was only able to save himself. None were good swimmers.
VIA WIRELESS. Sydney, January 20. i A scheme for linking up Gorman New Guinea with Ilong Kong and Australia by wireless is in progress. Stations will be completed in two months' time at Rabboul, Yap and Nauru. THE TERRITORIALS. Sydney, January 20. Instructions have been issued that Senior Cadets failing in 1911-12 to comply with the Defence Act shall be conlined to barracks and compelled to complete their service, if they do not observe the order of the court to make up | the drills missed.
A COMMONWEALTH BANK. Sydney, ajnuary 20. An advertisement in the newspapers announces that the Commonwealth Bank will be opened to-day. There are to be blanches at Sydney and Canberra, the Federal capital. This is regarded in some quarters as letting out the secret of the name of the new city. The Commonwealth Bank has started business at Adelaide, Melbourne and BrlgbuK- _ . . „
