REDUCTION IX MELBOURNE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received Hi. 10.35 p.m. Melbourne, January 10. The report of the Licenses Reduction Board states that 014 hotels have been deprived of their licenses in six years. The compensation paid amounted to £204.831. The report adds that the reductions have had a beneficial result, and this was particularly marked in the lowest quarters of the city.
