GAOLED ANARCHISTS.
ATTEMPTED ESCAPE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Paris, January 10. A man, disguised as a warder, was arrested at the Sante Prison in the act of liberating 22 of Bonnet's"'* accomplices. Eckerlen, a prisoner, escaped by a skylight, and got into a room occupied by two warders, stole a), uniform, took a revolver and prepared to liberate his companions. When he was discovered he was overpowered. He made several attempts to shoot the warders. If Eckerlen had been successful the band would easily have overcome the five warders.
