TAEANAKI (STEW ZEALAND) OIL WELLS, LIMITED.

NO. 1 BORE AT BELL BLOCK

No. 1 is down to a depth of 780 je'et. At No. 2 drilling operations, which were delayed owing to the non-arrival of the 10-inch casing, have been resumed. The easing has come to hand and the whole of it has been placed in position in the bore. This will be followed by -the 8ineh casing.

At No. 5 bore the new derrick has been erected and the well has been sandpumped and deepened. The final shipment of plant for the refinery has arrived in Wellington and will be transhipped next week.
