Remarks made at the last Eight Hours Banquet, and debates in the recent sessions of the Commonwealth and State Parliaments, show that the suggestion for a five days working week is regarded in some circles an a possibility. It is now suggested that closing on Saturday night might he utilised to assist the universal training scheme, thus abolishing night drills and not interfering with Saturday afternoon pastimes, it is merely a suggestion towards a concrete proposal.
