Mutton, fine 40s Gd, medium 34s I 6d; beef, fine 38k, medium 33s Gd. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. i Poultry.—At our last sale in the mart j before Christmas we had a Jarge entry of all classes of poultry. Prices were well maintained throughout, fat turkeys being in exceptionally good demand. ( Prices as follows:—Hens (fat) Is 8d to 2s 7d, young 2s 6d to 3s 3d, cockerels (young) Is 3d to Is lOd, fat 2s to 2s Bd, ducks Is lid to 3s Id, drakes 2s 5d to 2s 9d, turkey hens 9s 6d to lis 6d, gobblers 17s to 21s 6d, geese 3a 9d to as, chicks 4d to Is. Fruit.—Owing to the holidays this is the first fruit report for some weeks. Fruit has not come forward in extra heavy quantities during Christmas, and consequently prices ruling are high. Prices for the last few weeks as under, varying according to quality and size of boxes: —Banans (ripe) 3d to 3%d per lb, green 14s to 15s 9d case, oranges (American) 23s case, apples (American colored desserts) 17s 6d to 18s case, strawberries lOd to Is Id lb, seconds sdi to 9d lb, peaches (firsts) 5s 9d to 6s 6d, seconds 4s to 4s 9d, plums Is 9d to ss, pears 5s M to 6s 6d, apricots 10s 9d to. 12s, nectarines 5s 6d to, 7s 6d, grapes 8d to Is 5d lb, lemons 17s 6d to 18s 6d case.
