WATTARA v. NEW PLYMOUTH. New Plymouth journeyed to Waitara J r e*terday and engaged in a match against Hie local eleven, which when stumps were drawn was still unfinished. Batting first, Waitara compiled 161 runs. Only three of the team, however, ran into double figures, the wickets falling freely until W. Skelton went in to bat. He made 04, and his contribution included several boundaries?. Smaill knocked up .10 and Hicks, the last man to face the bowlers, added 10.
