DENTIST SHOT AT.
ATTACKED BY A JEALOUS WOMAN By Telegra.ph—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. Kathleen Sommerville, a mechanical dentist, went into the rooms of J. IT. Cohvill, dentist, this afternoon, locked the door of his office, and said she would shoot him unless he agreed to renew their friendship and assist her in her work. Cohvill declined, and threatening to call the police, went to the door with the intention of doing so, when it is stated Miss Sommerville fired a revolver, the bullet entering the wall within two inches of Cohvill's head as he went through the door. The woman has heon arrested. During the afternoon Kathleen Sommerville was charged with attempting to murder W. J. Cohvill. A remand was granted till to-morrow.
