THE TROUBLE SETTLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. ... Wellington. Last Night. The trouble with the Maori's firemen was settled this, afternoon. The men had a meeting lasting about two hours, and eventually decided unanimously to return to work. Meantime the company had anticipated a settlement, and had a start'made to get up steam when the firemen had , made their decision. A new crew signed on, 14 of the original men and 2l> of the stokehold men returning. .. The Maori got away just after 8 o'clock for Lytte'iton with 300 passengers.
