JOHAXSEX'S DEATH. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Hobart, January 8. in connection-with the suicide of Johiinsen, a member of Amundsen's expedition, in Christiania, the former was keenly disappointed that he was not selected to accompany Amundsen to the Pole. He stated proudly that he had been with Nansen to his furthest north, and his ambition was to reach the South Pole. During! his stay here he kept entirely to 'himself.
