ENTERTAINMENTS.
THE GAY FOLLIES AND COSTUME COMEDY CO. Another reminder that the above famous combination appear here for the first time at the Theatre Royal on Friday and Saturday next is given. Everything points to the entertainment being sw huge a success as it has been elsewhere. The management have spared no expense to make the performances a success. There will be a change programme given on Saturday evening, and notwithstanding the expense of bringing such a company in the provinces only popular prices will be charged. The box plan is at Collier's, and no charge is made for booking. The public can look forward to an excellent treat.
EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. A complete new programme will be shown at the Empire Picture Palace this evening including scenic, topical, industrial, comedy and dramatic items. There is an interesting film showing the recent "Vanniman Air-Ship Disaster," views of the "Cascades of New Devon," recent notable events chronicled by the "Gaumont Graphic," and an industrial picture showing the "Manufacture of Briar Pipes." A fine quartette of dramatic films are shown in "A Girl Alone" (Ilepworth), "Little Keeper of the Light" (Kalem), "The Indian's Gratitude" (Lubin etc., "Tested by Wireless"' (Ambrosio). The usual number of comics will provide much good tun. particularly the film entitled "The Cat's Cup Finai."
THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES. The Royal pictures are showing a complete-change of programme to-night, direct from the city circuit of Johi) Fuller and Sons. A glance at the advertising column will convince intending patrons that a real picture treat is in store for them to-night and to-morrow night. The educational side'of the programme is as usual well represented, the pictures for to-night beirig "Swimming Exercises," "Italian Cavalry," "Scenes in Cardigan," "Landscapes in Sicily" and "A Trip to the Isle of Corsica." The dramtatic pictures are exceptionally good including ,m English production. "The Coming Back of Kit Denver," introducing a clever and willing boxing contest. There are two special features from the Kalem studio, "The Prison Ship" and "The Street Singer" (featuring Alice Joyce), and a delightful domestic drama from the most popular Lubin Company. "A Child's Devotion." The comics are a treat with "His First Auto." "The Lion Tonic." "Pippin Up to His Pranks." and a veritable scream " Pimple Does The Turkey Trot."
