A wealthy old man at Grenoble displayed a purse in a cafe, and when returning on a lonely road a thief clubbed and buried him. The robber had prepared a grave, which he cmg in a field. The victim's fate was a mystery until blood marks were traced and the body exhumed. A post mortem showed that he was buried alive.
