Premier Mauras' resignation, with that of 92 senators, is the result of King Alfonso's approval of a Cabinet consisting of Liberals and Republicans, which breaks the tradition that the two monarchical parties should rule alternately.
RESIGNATION OP THE MINISTRY. Received January 0, 1-2.25 a.m. Lisbond, January 5. The Cabinet lias resigned. Senhor Almeida, Minister of Marine in the late Cabinet, is attempting to form a Ministry.
