THE GAME IN FRANCE. By Cable—Prese Association—Copyright. Paris, January 2. The crowd mobbed the English referee in the Franco-Scottish match, and assailed him with sticks and stones. The municipal guard rescued him. The majority of the newspapers express regret at the mobbing of the referee, though some criticise his decisions. The papers further sav the incident did not detract from the cordiality of the banquet, which was attended by all the players and officials.
