I'yffe expressed the opinion that the man had lieen done to death. ile was arrested on Tuesday for drunkenness and remanded on N ednesday lor curative treat in. Dr. I'yffe commented strongly oil the absence of suitable provision for treating such cases, and then detailed the result of the post mortem. This showed that deceased had a dozen marks on the bo.lv. including a fracture of the skull li 1 /; inches long. Ile believed' that the man had been knocked about. The injuries could not have been inflicted as the result of falling while drunk. Malono had 'been kicked or struck with a heavy instrument. After evidence hail been given 1)V the puis e ami the ;;aol officers, the inijuest was adjourned till to-morrow.
