ENTERTAINMENTS.

EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. The usual matinee will be held at the Empire, commencing at 2.30 this afternoon, when a complete new programme will be screened. As usual the selecion is from the latest productions of the world's leading film producers, and is admirably diversified. The Selig studio ig well repreesnted with a fine dramatic study "The Miller of Burgundy" being a story of the modern peasantry of France. "The Missing lunger" introduces the Lubin players in an interesting Western detective play, and there are also dramatic studies by C'ines ''The Moorish Bride," and a doinestje drama .by Selig, "An Adopted ■Son. Interest films are well shown "Lessons in Liquid Air," "Patlie Gazette," and "Beautiful Bruges." Llie usual quartette of comedy items round off a most entertaining selection.
