AN AUSTRALIAN VISIT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, December 31. The Australian Bowling Council is unable to arrange for a team to visit New Zealand during the present season. It has appointed a sub-committee to arrange for a visit at the end of 1913 or the beginning of the following year.
AUSTRALIAN CARNIVAL. Melbourne, December 31. At the inter-State bowling championship carnival', Victoria won four out of five games, South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania three each, and NewSouth Wales two.
SOUTHLAND TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Tuesday. The Southland bowling tournament opened to-dny in fine weather. TJie day was devoted to the champion single*, which were won by James Haiti (Northend, Invercargill)* who defeated Cameron (St. Kilda) by 24 to 12.
