At the , Kembla Grange Races the Kembla Grange Handicap resulted:— Asliby (New Zealand) 1, Miocene 2. Six 1 started, and As'hby won I by a length. Time, lmin 14% sec. The Grange Stakes was won by Lady Content, Lorn being second, and Lady Ogram third. Nine J started, and Lady Content won by a head. Time, lmin22/2 sec.9 ] / 2 sec. I Perth, December 30.

The High-weight Handicap resulted as follows:—Snowflake 1, Sylvanium 2, Sheen 3. Thirteen horses started, and Snowflake won by half a head, with half a length between second and third. Time, lmin 29 2-ssee.

There was a large attendance and speculation was brisk, the totalisator handling £38,982 as against £33,555 last year. In winning the Islington Plate Bobrikoff broke a New Zealand record. The connections of Golden Loop were before the stewards to explain the horse's running on the first day, but the explanation was satisfactory. Results:—

Islington Plate, of 500 sovs; one mile. —2 Bobrikoff, 8.13, 1; 3 Bleriot, 7.11, 2; 1 Bon Reve, 7.13, 3. Bon Reve led to the straight entrance. In the run to the post Bobrikoff, who had been lying a long way back, moved up and finishing fast von by a long neck, with Bon Reve a head away third. Time, lmin 38 4-ssec. Visitors' Handicap, of 275 sovs; 5 furlongs.—3 Tact, 7.9, 1; 5 Winning Way, 7.6, 2; 4 Kakama, 7.9, 3. 1 Ventura 9.0, 9 Gloy 7.9, 7 Oxenhope 7.5, 2 Potoa 7.1, *8 Monoline 6.10, 10 Lucille 6.8, 8 Overtime 6.8, and 11 Bluestone 6.7 also started. Gold Size led to the straight, but in the run to the post Labor Day came from last position and won by three-quarters of a length. Time 2min 8 2-ssec.
