LAWN TENNIS.

Matters were very quiet during the holidays on ,the local courts, and no in-ter-dub games eventuated. Several enthusiasts, however, frequented the various courts and indulged in practice, possibly with an eye to the approaching Taranaki Tennis' Association's tournament, which takes place on January 10 17, and 18. Record entries .are expected, and if competitors are not in good form they cannot blame the weather for preventing practice,, as during the past few weeks the weather from a tennis point of view has been delightful.
