At the Marconi enquiry Mr. Norman, a member of the House of Commons, opposed the ratification of the agreement as being contrary to the public interest and preluding something in the nature of a monopoly. Moreover it was not necessary in order to ensure a chaince of Imperial wireless station. At the Marconi enquiry Sir Geo. Reid, completing his evidence, promised to obtain information whether the Australian system had been tested for 2000 miles.
