CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING. By Cable—Press London, December 15. Oxford* University beat Cambridge in the cross-country race of 7% miles. Sproulc, Melbourne, was first. Very good entries have been received for the Whangamomona Sports on Friday, January 3. The chopping events have been well filled, and from the quality of the entrants some exciting contests should be witnessed.
