At Biirnside 151 fat cattle were,yarded, consisting principally of well-finished bullocks and heifers. There was good competition by the trade, and prices showed an increase of 10s to 15s pellead on last week's rates. Best bullocks brought from £l3 to £l4 10s. extra to CIS 2s fid, medium £ll to £l2 ss, best cows and heifers £lO to £ll 10s, others £0 to £3. Fat sheep—ll)22 penned, consisting chiefly of shorn wethers. Prices were much on a par with last week's rates. Best wethers in wool 28s to 30s. do. shorn 21s to 235. medium in wool 25s to 20s Gd, shorn 18s Od to 20s, best ewes in wool 20s to 28s, others 21s to 22s Od. Fat lambs—322 penned. At the opening of the sale prices were slightly lower than last week's rates, but towards the end competition grew stronger, and the closing rates were equal to last week's. Best 18s to 20s, good las to 10s Od.
JOHXSOXVILLTC. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd.. report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A good yarding of both cattle and sheep came forward.
