MT. LYELL MINE.
ENQUIRY COMMISSION SITTING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 14, 12.5 a.m. Hobart. December 13. The Lyell Disaster Enquiry Commission held its first meeting at Queenstown. The Government and all the parties involved are represented. Counsel for the commissioners descended the mine under expert guidance, and inspected the workings. There were evidences everywhere of the destruction and, desolation caused by the ravages of the fire.
