MINISTERIAL.
HON. J. ALLEN IN CHRISTCIIURCH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Cliristelmrch, Last Night. The Hon. Jas. Allen, in the course of a brief interview, stated, in regard to Sunday drill of Territorials, that the whole' of the matter is to be controlled by regulations which he expects to have submitted to him on his arrival in Wellington. A deputation representing the Dominion Council of the Royal Life-Saving Society waited on the Minister and asked that instructions in life-saving methods be given in conjunction with physical education in public schools. The Minister said the object they had in view had his sympathy, and the matter would be submitted to Mr. Garlick, director of physical education, on his return from Australia. The Prime Minister and Mr. Allen left for Wellington by to-night's steamer.
