As anticipated, Mr. Beeby has resigned his seat for Blayney and the portfolio of' Lands, This leaves the Government practically without a majority in the Assembly, It is understood that Mr. Beeby intends to recontest the Blayney seat, and if elected will sit as an independent supporter of the Government. It is unnecessary for the Government to consider its position until after the by-election. , DISSENSION OVER GOVERNMENT HOUSE. Received 10, 1.10 a.m. Sydney, December 9. It is rumored that the Cabinet is not a happy family in connection wita the taking over of Government House. One section, led by Mr. McGowen, desire it to be quietly transferred, and another section wishes for a big demonstration. Further trouble is predicted.
