FATAL ACCIDENT.

JTARMKR KILLED. An accident, attended with fata] consequences, happened on the Kelly road on Saturday, resulting in the death in the New Plymouth Hospital of a fanner named Rudolph Scheibler. According to the particulars supplied to the police the deceased was seen by a laborer named Roberts, driving to the creamery on the Kelly road. Roberts followed along about ten minutes afterwards and found Scheibler lying on the road. Roberts thought the man's neck was broken. It was found, however, that Scheibler was able to converse, and when asked by Roberts how (he accident occurred he said he was driving along, when the wheel of the carl went into a nit, precipitating him out of the cart. He told Roberts that his back "was very bad." U is presumed that the man was standing up in the cart, and when the wheel entered the rut the sudden jerk threw him out. lie was brought to the New Plymouth Hospital, suffering from severe concussion of the brain, and he passed away shortly after admission to the institution. The deceased lived by himself, and Roberts is the only man who appears to have known him. He was a married man, but the whereabouts of his wife is not known, nor whether he has any other relatives.
