ABOLISHING THE CENTRE PARTY. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. Berlin, December 5. In connection with the conflict between the German Chancellor and the Clericals, the Cologne Gazette urges the Social Democrats to join the Liberal parties, and eliminate the clerical Centre.
The Federal Council rejected a claim from Bavaria for a more liberal interpretation of the anti-Jesuit law. The Roman Catholic press declared that Catholics would never tolerate the polico regime which a Prussianised Germany sought to impose on the Jesuit propaganda.
