J ENERGETIC WORKING BEE. Yesterday afternoon an enthusiastic working bee foregathered at the foot of Paritutu for the purpose of forming a proper track to the base of this picturegque land The bee comprised: Messrs, R. C. Hughes (President of the New Plymouth Beautifying Society), W. D. Davies, Eustace, G. and W. Moverley, F. Johnson, Blythe, Hodgson, Murley, F. Goodacrc. F. C. Carey, G. White/and Mr. j A. E. Sykes' gardener. I A very satisfactory afternoon's work I was put in. A 10ft track being coni.strueted riglit through the lupins as far jas the pines. A good deal of earthwork was done as- well. ...The- new route disj closes several pretty views, and is in other respects, far superior to the old track. The majority of those present - kindly agreed to give their service* again next Thursday afternoon, and the comj mitteo are ;n hopes that those who failed j to turn up yesterday will put in an apj pearance on that day. During the afternoon the following I ladies went to no small amount of . ' trouble in providing the members of the l.bee with afternoon tea: Mesdame» ' \ Hughes, Firth, Roy, Taylor, Rogers and Henderson.
