SUPREME COURT.
TIMARU SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The criminal (sessions of the Supreme Court were completed to-day. James Ellen was sentenced to six years' imprisonment for rape. In a civil ease, claim £2OO for breach of agreement, plaintiff, a blacksmith at Hinds, bought out defendants, a competitor,, and the latter agreed not to start in business again, nor sell or lease the .shop. Defendant did let the shop to another blacksmith, whereby plaintiff's trade was injured. His Honor gave judgment for £6O.
