THE NEW QUAY MYSTERY.
| INQUEST ON MRS. NOWILL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, December 3. At the inquest on Mrs. Nowill a verdict was returned of "found drowned." Her husband gave evidence that he was sure his wife was a "straight" woman. The doctor stated that there were no signs of violence, and that the woman died from drowning. The Coroner said that doubtless Delay's heartless and cruel conduct forced the woman to leave the hotel, but there was no evidence as to howshe died. A LEGACY VOIDED. Received 4, 10.50 p.m. London, December 4. Legal opinion is that Mrs. Nowill having predeceased Delay, the legacy is void. The Coroner believed that Delay treated the woman in a heartless manner, but it is improbable that he forced her over the cliff.
