Captain Bartlett, at the Aero Club dinner at Boston, said the safest and easiest way to reach the North Pole would he by aeroplane. It was merely four hours' flight from Cape Jessiup northward. It was easy to rise from snow-covered ground, and the conditions for flight were perfect in July and August.
